Therefore, the need for alternative electrical energy sources arises, namely, by utilizing solar panels. The importance of understanding how solar panels work and their maintenance becomes a determining factor in ensuring the optimal performance of Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Systems. Lack of knowledge and awareness about maintenance can result in decreased efficiency and lifespan of solar panels. Users of Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Systems are also expected to understand its maintenance procedures. Thus, the implementation of this community service activity aims to educate the public and enable them to maintain Solar Cells as Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Systems. This activity is carried out by providing direct training on PV system maintenance, both theoretically and practically. The impact of this community service activity is that the community can understand and maintain Solar Cells as Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Systems, as evidenced by the evaluation results where the understanding of the training participants falls into the category of very knowledgeable, which is 80.88%.
Muh. Waste in Indonesia has an unresolved problem, as the population increases, the amount of waste produced by human activities also increases, so education is needed for the public. Education is any planned effort to influence other people, whether individuals, groups or society, so that they do what is expected by educational practitioners. In relation to waste management education for the community, it is hoped that the public will know about waste management using the 3R approach, namely reduce, reuse, recycle, in this case the most emphasized is waste management by composting. This community service is carried out to increase public knowledge regarding waste management by reducing, reusing, recycling. This community service uses pre-test and post-test methods, also using education and demonstrations about waste management. The results obtained from this community service were that the community experienced an increase in knowledge after being given health education and demonstrations about waste management. Those who were given the education looked very enthusiastic and had a high level of curiosity because the people who were given the education provided feedback, namely by answering questions from the community service team and the community also learned about how to manage waste by composting it. Based on the results of outreach activities to the community about how to manage waste and the dangers of burning waste by burning it as well as a demonstration of making organic waste into compost, public knowledge has increased
Septi Ardianty Andri Purnama Sari Putri Febriyanti Kusman Fatatun Malika Feno Suci Wulandari Febrina Sari Putri Tiara Oktapiani Tiara Tiara Yeni Ariyanti Santi Lestari Nanda Williansyah Copyright (c) 2024 Septi Ardianty, Andri Purnama Sari, Putri Febriyanti Kusman, Fatatun Malika, Feno Suci Wulandari, Febrina Sari Putri, Tiara Oktapiani, Tiara, Yeni Ariyanti, Santi Lestari, Nanda Williansyah https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2024-04-06 2024-04-06 5 1 7 14 10.47134/comdev.v5i1.175 Kegiatan Kunjungan Edukatif Jungle Pod Chocolate dan Secret Garden Village https://comdev.pubmedia.id/index.php/comdev/article/view/204
This study explores the impact of educational visits to Jungle Pod Chocolate and Secret Garden Village on participants' understanding and appreciation of the chocolate industry and sustainability practices. Bullying is an act of intimidation carried out by the stronger party against the weaker party, manifested in various forms of intimidating behavior. The purpose of the Community Service Program (PKM) at KKN is to provide education and socialization about the dangers of bullying, using technology such as videos depicting the negative impacts of bullying. In its implementation, PKM KKN uses the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method, which is a participatory method among citizens or communication through sharing approaches (the story-sharing method), in-depth interviews, and focused group discussions (FGD). The selection of this method is based on the understanding that socialization about bullying prevention involves identifying problems and implementing solutions directly related to action. The results of this counseling activity show: 1) Students can identify types of bullying, including: a) cyberbullying, b) verbal bullying, and c) physical bullying; 2) introduce anti-bullying campaigns to students; 3) create an environment that supports the development of students' personalities and social skills; and 3) encourage open communication between schools, teachers, and parents regarding the development of students' personalities and social skills.
Munakhiroh El Hajar Winda Nindya Putri Siskha Putri Sayekti Copyright (c) 2024 Munakhiroh El Hajar, Winda Nindya Putri, Siskha Putri Sayekti https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2024-05-02 2024-05-02 5 1 34 45 10.47134/comdev.v5i1.200 Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Desa Banguntapan Bantul Melalui Pembuatan Unit Usaha Tempe Kedelai https://comdev.pubmedia.id/index.php/comdev/article/view/207
Promoting the expansion of small and medium industries (IKM) is crucial for stimulating national economic development. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) operate in several industries and have a crucial role in augmenting the earnings of those with lower socioeconomic status. The importance of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in national economic development is highly significant, particularly during times of economic crisis. This was particularly obvious in Indonesia's recent economic downturn, where SMEs had greater resilience in confronting these problems compared to large corporations, which often experienced stagnation or even ceased operations. Science and technology are becoming increasingly crucial for the advancement of small firms, including the tempe sector. The small tempe sector has emerged as a significant element of the economy in numerous nations, exerting a crucial influence on stimulating economic growth at the regional level. Nevertheless, like to other industries of a smaller scale, the tempeh sector encounters several challenges, including issues pertaining to production effectiveness, product excellence, and environmental sustainability. By organizing community service activities, many programs have been established, such as promoting the significance of branding in product marketing, fostering innovation in product development, and offering guidance on calculating the Cost of Goods Production (HPP). The results indicate that the prospective partner has the capability to oversee an IKM business division focused on soybean tempeh under the TempeMU brand.
Andika Wisnujati Linda Kusumastuti Wardana Syamsul Ma’arif Copyright (c) 2024 Andika Wisnujati, Linda Kusumastuti Wardana, Syamsul Ma’arif https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2024-05-02 2024-05-02 5 1 46 56 10.47134/comdev.v5i1.207 Komunikasi Persuasif Melalui Video Bahaya Narkoba dan Rokok di SMK Negeri 5 Kecamatan Padang Ulak Tanding Kabupaten Rejang Lebong Provinsi Bengkulu https://comdev.pubmedia.id/index.php/comdev/article/view/206
Tanjung Sanai Village, Padang Ulak Tanding District, Rejang Lebong Regency, Bengkulu Province. included in drug-prone areas based on research data from the Bengkulu Province National Narcotics Agency in the framework of the 2020 P4GN which mapped this drug-prone area with danger and alert categories and there are several cases where teenagers are trapped in the problem of smoking and use of illegal drugs. Among their emergency response activities are the mobilization of personnel for victim assistance and the distribution of aid to disaster victims. The nature of TRC's work demands both physical and mental effort. This poses a risk of work fatigue, one manifestation of which is microsleep, which can lead to traffic accidents as experienced by the TRC in 2019. The objective of this community service activity is to implement artificial intelligence that can monitor driver activity to reduce the risk of traffic accidents. The method of this service activity involves the installation of a sleepiness early warning system (EWS) in TRC BPBD Jember vehicles. The device is mounted on the dashboard, facing the driver, and powered by a 12-volt car battery. Based on interviews, the implementation of the sleepiness EWS in the operational vehicles of TRC BPBD Jember has been able to enhance driving safety by providing warnings to drivers when they begin to lose concentration, whether due to fatigue or distractions. Although there were challenges in implementing the device, such as slow response time and limited detection range, the community service team overcame these issues by recalibrating the device's response time and selecting drivers with similar anthropometric measurements to avoid the need for frequent adjustments when changing drivers.
Bakhtiyar Hadi Prakoso Gandu Eko Julianto Suyoso Veronika Vestine Sugeng Hartanto Angga Rahagiyanto Copyright (c) 2024 Bakhtiyar Hadi Prakoso, Gandu Eko Julianto Suyoso, Veronika Vestine, Sugeng Hartanto https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2024-05-30 2024-05-30 5 1 92 100 10.47134/comdev.v5i1.236 Pelatihan Pembuatan Kompos Dari Campuran Limbah Daun Kering dan Basah https://comdev.pubmedia.id/index.php/comdev/article/view/243
Composting is an effort to reduce waste discharge into the environment, thereby reducing environmental pollution. Lampung Province is one of the areas with high disaster risk based on the Indonesian Disaster Prone Index (IRBI). Therefore, the government has adopted the Destana program as a community-based disaster risk reduction effort. Sukaraja Village, located in South Lampung Regency, faces disaster threats such as landslides, tidal floods and tsunamis. The Destana program has been implemented in this village since 2012 by the South Lampung Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD). To evaluate this program, this community service uses the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation model which includes evaluating the context, input, process, and product of the program with mixed methods. The results of community service show that the objectives of the Destana program in Sukaraja Village are appropriate in dealing with disaster risk. Although there are still some efforts that have not been implemented and unmet deficiencies in program resources and strategies, the Destana program as a whole has been running well.
