Abstract

Diabetes mellitus merupakan masalah kesehatan kronik yang berpotensi menimbulkan berbagai komplikasi, salah satunya luka kaki diabetik yang dapat menurunkan kualitas hidup dan meningkatkan risiko amputasi. Upaya pencegahan melalui deteksi dini risiko luka kaki diabetik menjadi sangat penting, terutama di tingkat pelayanan kesehatan primer dan masyarakat. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk melakukan deteksi dini risiko luka kaki diabetik pada penderita diabetes mellitus melalui pemeriksaan sensitivitas kaki menggunakan Monofilament Test 10 g dan Ipswich Touch Test (IpTT). Metode yang digunakan meliputi pemeriksaan fisik sensitivitas kaki, pengumpulan data karakteristik peserta, serta pemberian edukasi DM. Kegiatan diikuti oleh 32 peserta dengan rata-rata usia 58,59 tahun (SD ±10,41), mayoritas perempuan dan memiliki Riwayat DM selama 5-10 tahun. Hasil pemeriksaan menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 59,4% peserta mengalami penurunan atau kehilangan sensasi protektif kaki berdasarkan hasil Monofilament Test dan IpTT. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar peserta berisiko tinggi mengalami luka kaki diabetik akibat usia lanjut dan lamanya menderita diabetes, serta menegaskan bahwa pemeriksaan Monofilament Test dan Ipswich Touch Test efektif sebagai metode skrining sederhana untuk deteksi dini di Masyarakat.
